Repair Procedures: Inspection
- Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Disconnect the back-up lamp switch connector (A).
- Check the continuity between no. 1 and 2 terminals of back-up lamp switch. When the shift lever is in reverse, there should be continuity.
- Replace the back-up lamp switch when there is not continuity from the reverse position.
