Recirculation Valve (RCV)
Recirculation Valve (RCV) is mounted on top of the intercooler inlet pipe. It controls the bypass passage of a turbocharger compressor. If the throttle body closes suddenly while the engine is running, boost pressure will increase. The RCV bypasses to prevents this high-pressure air from back-flowing and impacting compressor impellers causing noise.
