DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitor to check if proper combustion is achieved
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Air leakage or restriction in intake or exhaust system
  3. Improper fuel pressure
  4. Clogging of injector
  5. Faulty fuel system
  6. Faulty ignition system
Prerequisite Condition
  • Counter for improper combustion detection is less than 10 counts
  • Engine speed is between 32 and 8160 RPM
  • Relative air charge is more than 0%
  • No upstream oxygen sensor signal faults active (P013100, P013200)
  • No downstream oxygen sensor signal faults active (P013600, P013700, P013800)
  • Permission to enable combustion monitoring
    • Powertrain operation mode is idle or partial load or full load
  • Fuel cut-off not active state
  • Injection time is more than 0.5 ms
  • Downstream oxygen sensor voltage is less than 0.298V
  • Upstream oxygen sensor voltage is more than 2.78V
Threshold Value
  • Counter for improper combustion detection is more than 200 counter or
  • Internal segment counter for bad combustion detection is more than 400 counter
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuously
MIL
