DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 Main Action
  • Check engine-off timer plausibility - during engine is running.
  1. Poor connection or damaged harness
  2. Faulty ECM
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine is running with speed over 32 RPM.
  • Elapsed time after starting is longer than 3 seconds.
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V.
Threshold Value
  • Deviation between external engine-off timer and internal micro-com timer is out of specificaton over 35%.
Diagnosis Time
  • Immediately
Case 2 Main Action
  • Check engine-off timer plausibility - during power latch
Prerequisite Condition
  • Elapsed time after starting is longer than 3 seconds.
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V.
Threshold Value
  • Deviation between external engine-off timer and internal micro-com timer during powerlatch is longer than 2 seconds.
Diagnosis Time
  • Immediately
MIL On Condition
  • 3rd Driving Cycle
