  • Signal check
  1. Open or Short in harness
  2. Poor connection or damaged harness
Prerequisite Condition
  • Desired voltage duty cycle of alternator is between 3.12% and 94.5%
  • Engine speed is higher than 240 RPM
  • Battery voltage is between 10.73V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Control circuit is open or shorted to ground.
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuously
MIL On Condition
  • No MIL ON (DTC only)
