Terminal and Connection Inspection
- Disconnect CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH and the ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
- Connect the GDS and go to "Current Data".
- Monitor CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).
- Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?
YES
- Repair the connector. go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
NO
- Go to next step below.
Check Item Specifications Prerequisite Condition Terminal (+) Terminal (-) Power Circuit - Voltage 11.5V to 13.0V - Disconnect 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' connector
- Ignition SW 'ON'
'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness Chassis GND - Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION ".
NO
- Repair short to ground/open between 'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and 'Cruise supply' terminal of ECM harness connector, and go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
