Terminal and Connection Inspection

  1. Disconnect CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH and the ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
  2. Connect the GDS and go to "Current Data".
  3. Monitor CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).
  4. Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Go to next step below.
    Check Item Specifications Prerequisite Condition Terminal (+) Terminal (-)  
    Power Circuit - Voltage 11.5V to 13.0V
    1. Disconnect 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' connector
    2. Ignition SW 'ON'
    'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness Chassis GND  
    1. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Repair short to ground/open between 'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and 'Cruise supply' terminal of ECM harness connector, and go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
