EWGA Inspection

  1. Ignition switch is turned "OFF". Disconnect EWGA connector.
  2. Measure resistance between EWGA motor DC terminals of EWGA. (Component Side)

    Specification:  Approx. 1.44 ~ 1.96 Ω at 20°C (68°F)

  3. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between ECM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and Go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure

    NO 

    • Check EWGA for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good EWGA and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace EWGA and then Go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
