Monitor DTC status

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and select "DTC Analysis" mode
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)", Press "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Confirm that "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in the freeze frame data or enable conditions.
  5. Read "DTC Status" parameter.
  6. Record all DTCs, DTC status and freeze frame data. Does DTC Status indicate "Present"?
    NOTE:
    • History (Not Present) state: the DTC set but has been cleared.
    • Present state: the DTC is active at present.

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • This can be an intermittent fault caused by poor contact of the sensor and/or PCM connector. Or, PCM memory was not cleared after repair.
