Repair Procedures: Removal

Information 

• Before removal, press the brake pedal while the ignition switch is ON and press the N button (A) for a long time to position it in the N position, then remove the battery (-) terminal.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

3. Remove the battery and battery tray.

   (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

4. Remove the ECM.

   (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) ")

5. Disconnect the electronic shift actuator connector (A) and wiring clip (B).

6. Loosen the bolts and then removing the electronic shift actuator (A).

7. Disconnect the position sensor connector (A).

8. Loosen the bolts and then removing the position sensor (A).
