DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Open or short to battery in signal harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. Faulty OTS
  5. Faulty ECM
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage is between 6V and 16V
  • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is greater than -9°C (15.8°F) or time after engine start is more than 300s
Threshold Value
  • Engine oil temperature (EOT) is lower than -39°C (-38.2°F)
  • OTS signal represents open circuit or short circuit to battery
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
