DTC Setting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible Cause
Prerequisite condition
  • Turn the ignition switch ON
  1. Faulty IBU (SMK + BCM + TPMS)
Threshold value
  • Data error or timing error
    1. Data error: Communication Head error, checksum error, Faulty IBU (SMK + BCM + TPMS)
    2. Timing Error: The interval of responses from the IBU (SMK + BCM + TPMS) upon the ECM's request is longer than the predetermined time (40 ms)
Diagnosis time
  • The defect persists longer than 1.5 sec
