DTC Information and Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Monitoring
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Air leak in Intake or Exhaust System
  3. Faulty Upstream O2 Sensor
Enable Condition
  • Sensor Pump current valid
  • Battery voltage higher than 9V
  • Sensor Tip Temp. higher than 1184°F (640°C)
  • O2 sensor forced simulation active
  • P042000 (Catalyst Diagnosis) monitoring active
  • P013300 diagnosis is synchronized with P042000 monitor
  • No relevant DTC present
Threshold Value
  • Integral (Lambda signal amplitude measured/Lambda signal amplitude of a slow sensor) more than 1
Diagnostic Time
  • 25 Lambda controller cycles
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
