Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  2. Remove the TCM.

    (Refer to Dual Clutch Transmission Control System - "DCT Control Module (TCM) ")

  3. Remove the battery and tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Remove the shift cable (C) from the bracket (B) after loosening the nut (A).

  5. Remove the shift lever knob & boots (A).

  6. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ")

  7. Remove the air duct (A).

  8. Disconnect the shift cable.
    1. Disconnect the cable holder (A) from the shift lever, after removing the snap pin (C).
    2. Disconnect the cable bracket (B) from the shift lever after pushing the lock.

  9. Remove the retainer by loosening the nuts (A).
  10. Remove the shift cable from the vehicle.
