Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim.

    (Refer to Body - "Liftgate Trim ")

  3. Disconnect the power liftgate latch connector (A) and PCU assembly connector (B).

  4. Remove the liftgate latch (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

  5. Loosen the PCU (Power Closing Unit) mounting nuts.

  6. Remove the liftgate latch & PCU assembly.
