Terminal and Connector Inspection

CAUTION: * Non-compliance with the following instruction can induce death or injury caused by electric shock.
  • Carefully read and follow service information instruction.
  • Always wear and insulated gloves and use insulated tools.
  • Remove ignition key and 12V ground cable, shut off the main switch.
  • Check voltage at high voltage terminal.
  • Perform Resolver adaptation after the LDC (HPCU) or the Driver Motor or the Generator (HSG) is replaced or reinstalled.
  • When the HPCU (HCU< MCU< LDC), generator and engine electric water pump are replaced, electric water pump will need to engine coolant supplement and coolant circulation.
  1. Disconnect all related modules and ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
  2. Connect the GDS and go to "Current Data".
  3. Monitor modules and ECM sensor values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness (es), connector (s), and terminal (s).
  4. Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

    YES
