Repair Procedures: Removal

Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")
Remove the battery and tray.
(Refer to "BATTERY ")
Remove the ECM.
(Refer to "ECM ")
Remove the shift cable (C) from the bracket (B) after removing the nut (A).

Remove the shift lever knob assembly.
1. Disconnect the cover (A).

2. Remove the knob assembly (A) after removing the pin (B).

Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to "Floor Console ")
Disconnect the shift cable.
1. Disconnect the cable holder (A) from the shift lever.
2. Disconnect the cable bracket from the shift lever after pushing the lock.

Remove the retainer (A) by loosening the nuts.

Remove the shift cable from the vehicle.
