Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. IG key "ON", Engine "OFF".
  2. Perform "Oscilloscope" procedure in the "Vehicle S/W Management"  with GDS.
  3. Measure the signal waveform between "B-CAN_High" terminal of "IPS CONTROL MODULE" harness connector and chassis ground.
  4. Measure the signal waveform between "B-CAN_LOW" terminal of "IPS CONTROL MODULE" harness connector and chassis ground.

    Reference data

  5. Does the measured signal waveform follow the reference data?

    YES 

    • Disconnect CAN communication units one by one and monitor DTC to find the cause.

      → If the DTC erase, substitute with a known-good unit and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the unit and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
