Repair Procedures: Removal
- Remove the following parts first:
- Air cleaner assembly and air duct
(Refer to ENGINE AND TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY .)
- Battery and tray
(Refer to BATTERY .)
- ECM (Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .)
NOTE: Place the gear shift lever and manual control lever to the N position when performing maintenance on the inhibitor switch. - Air cleaner assembly and air duct
- Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector (A).
- Remove the shift cable mounting nut (A).
- Loosen the nut (A), and then remove the manual control lever (B).
- Loosen the mounting bolt, and then remove the inhibitor switch (C).
