Variant Code Reset

  1. Check for improper installation of ECM/TCM/ESC/4WD/DCT/ACU/EPB ECU.
  2. Check for wrong 4WD ECU installation.
  3. Check for wrong G sensor installation.
  4. Check for wrong DCT ECU installation.
  5. Check for wrong TCM installation.
  6. Check for wrong EPB ECU installation.
  7. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  8. IG "ON".
  9. Perform variant code reset in "Vehicle S/W Management  " menu of the GDS. (Fig 1)
  10. IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON". Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " Procedure.
