General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the rail pressure sensor's signal
  1. A leaky injector, a leak in the Fuel Rail
  2. Mechanical failure in High Pressure Pump
  3. Sticking by low pressure of fuel rail pressure sensor
Enable Conditions
  • No disabling Faults Present
  • Engine Running
  • Engine Running > 5 sec.
Threshold value
  • Actual rail pressure is lower than target pressure.
Diagnosis Time
  • 3 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Drive Cycles
