Component Inspection

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)  " mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)  " mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • The main cause of this code is that improper CAN signal from EPS system is detected.
    • Check DTCs in EPS system. If there is a code in EPS system, Repair according to DTC diagnostic guide of EPS system.

    NO 

    • This fault may be intermittently caused by poor connection in the EPS ECU or HECU connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
