DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  1. Short to battery in signal harness
  2. Open in signal or ground circuit
  3. Poor connection or damaged harness
  4. Faulty IAT sensor
Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant temperature is greater than -30 °C (-22°F)
  • Ambient Air temperature is greater than -30 °C (-22°F)
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • IAT voltage is higher than 4.93V.
  • Output voltage of IAT sensor represents open or short to power.
Diagnostic Time
  • 10sec.
Mil On Condition
  • 2 Drive Cycles
