System Inspection

■ Check fuel leakage
1. Check following item visually.
  - Connector connection state.
  - Damage/connection state for vacuum hoses connected to fuel line.
  - Bent/pressed/twisted fuel line or fuel leakage.
2. Has a problem found in this procedure?
  YES
  - Repair or replace it which has a problem, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Go to " CHECK HIGH PRESSURE PUMP" as follows.
■ Check high pressure pump
1. Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
2. Start the engine and monitor "Rail Pressure Sensor" parameter on GDS at accelerating.
3. Are the parameters displayed correctly?
  Specification: the fuel rail pressure will be increased while accelerating the vehicle.

  YES
  - Go to " CHECK INJECTOR" as follows.
  NO
  - Repair or replace high pressure pump, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Check injector for normal operation
1. Start engine.
2. Check its RPM decrease when doing the injector's actuation test.
3. Is there any cylinder with no change in RPM or only a small change in RPM?
  YES
  - Replace injector, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " as follows.
