DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Coolant temperature too low for Lambda regulation
  • Faulty cooling system
  • Faulty ECT sensor
  • Poor connection or damaged harness
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temp. at start < 5°C (50°F)
  • Minimum time (0°C: approx.50sec, 8°C: approx.100sec, 20°C: 200sec., 36°C: 300sec.) after start versus coolant temperature at Start
  • No relevant failure
  • 11V < Battery voltage < 16V
Threshold Value
  • Coolant temperature signal < 5 °C (50°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediate
Mil On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
