General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring deviation between target idle speed and actual engine speed during catalyst heating
  1. Checking leakage of air intake
  2. Checking operation of ETC
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temperature is higher than -14°F
  • Catalyst heating operating condition (during 20 sec immediately after cold start in 77°F range)
Threshold Value
  • Current RPM is lower than target RPM as much as 270RPM (Engine speed too low)
  • Current RPM is higher than target RPM as much as 270RPM (Engine speed too high)
Diagnostic Time
  • 20sec
Mil On Condition
