Monitor GDS Data

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".
Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Inhibitor switch" parameter.
Change a shift lever from P-range to D-range.

Is the Inhibitor switch value changed in specification?
YES

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact of PCM/TCM and DTC was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

NO

Go to "TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION " procedure.
