General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Circuit Malfunction
  1. Circuit short or open
  2. Shift range signal error
  3. PCM/TCM
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Battery voltage > 10V
Threshold value
  • TR switch unused code (S1, S2, S3, S4)
Detecting Time
  • More than 4sec & 2D/C
Fail safe
  • Normal status: All position possible
  • Abnormal status: Above 3rd position possible (3rd ~ 8th possible, 1st/2nd impossible)
