DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal Monitoring
  1. Incorrect calibration
  2. Improper installation of steering angle sensor
  3. Faulty steering angle sensor

  • When the steering wheel angle is larger than ±780 degrees.
  • When the difference between estimated angle and measured angle of the SAS sensor is lager than 50deg/s, if the fault condition exists uninterrupted for 1.5sec.
  • In case that diagnostic signal fault of SAS was happened for more than 100ms within normal voltage condition.
Fail Safe
  • Inhibit the ESC/DBC control and allow the ABS/EBD control.
  • The ESC/DBC warning lamp is activated.
