Component Inspection

  1. IG "OFF" and Disconnect Fuel Sender & Fuel Pump Motor connector and Fuel Sub Sender connector.
  2. Remove these senders from fuel tank and measure the resistance of Fuel sender while lifting up and down the fuel level float.

  3. Does the resistance of FLS change as lifting up and down the fuel level float?

    YES 

    • There may be scratches on the resistance of Fuel Sender or Fuel Sub Sender. Thoroughly check that resistance is suddenly changed by lifting up and down the fuel level float. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known - good Fuel Sender or Fuel Sub Sender and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Fuel Sender or Fuel Sub Sender and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
