Component Inspection

  1. A/C pressure sensor inspection
    1. Key "OFF" and connect the scan tool.
    2. Connect the probe to A/C pressure sensor signal and select the oscilloscope in the menu.
    3. Check the change of waveform with A/C "ON" and "OFF" after engine start.
      1. Specification:
        VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION CHART

        Pressure (psi) 14.7 100 200 300 470
        Voltage (V) 0.50 1.25 2.13 3.00 4.50

    4. Is the measured waveform of A/C pressure sensor normal?

      YES 

      1. Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

      NO 

      1. Substitute with a known - good A/C pressure sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace A/C pressure sensor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
