DESCRIPTION

This bulletin provides a procedure for using the GDS Diagnostic Tool to update the 2009 Genesis Airbag Control Unit (ACU).

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This TSB provides reprogramming instructions for GDS only. You may have to perform an initial internet update of GDS to receive the latest software version 1.5A.

If the vehicle has not been driven recently and was in storage, first start and run the engine for several minutes to ensure it has a reasonably charged battery before conducting the reprogramming. A low vehicle battery charge can prevent reprogramming.

VEHICLES AFFECTED

Model: 2009 Genesis (BH) vehicles.

Applicable vehicle production date range: From April 25, 2008 to November 18, 2008
