DTC P0717 Input Speed Sensor Circuit - No Signal: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy 
  • Check the speed range
  • Faulty INPUT SPEED SENSOR.
  • Faulty PCM/TCM
  • Signal circuit is open or short
Enable Conditions 
  • Engine speed > 400rpm
  • 10.2V < Battery voltage < 15.5V
  • System is normal
  • TCU communication = normal
  • Shift lever switch = normal
Threshold value 
  • To detect no pulse while detecting output revolution sensor signal 24 pulses
Diagnostic Time 
  • More than 500times x more than 1 sec
Fail Safe 
  • Self learning control is inhibited
  • Locked in 3rd gear
