Component Inspection

Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the solenoid connector (Component side).

SPECIFICATION

OIL CONTROL VALVE RESISTANCE REFERENCE

Oil Control Valve	Normal Parameter At 20°C (68°F)
Coil Resistance	6.7 ~ 7.9Ω
Insulation Resistance	Above 50MΩ

Is resistance within specification?
YES:
- Go to next step below.
NO:
- Check oil control valve for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good solenoid and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace solenoid and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
