Signal Circuit Inspection

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
Disconnect the "INPUT SPEED SENSOR" connector.
Measure voltage between terminal "2" of the INPUT SPEED SENSOR harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: approx. 5V

Is voltage within specification?
YES
- Refer to POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION .
NO
- Check for open or short in harness. Repair as necessary and refer to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR .
- If signal circuit in harness is OK, refer to 2 of COMPONENT INSPECTION .
