Component Inspection

Check EGR Sol. Valve.
1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
2. Connect Scatool and perform Actuation Test for EGR Sol. Valve with scantool.

3. Is the EGR Sol. Valve working properly?
  YES
  - Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation.
    If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Substitute with a known - good EGR Sol. Valve and check for proper operation.
    If the problem is corrected, replace EGR Sol. Valve and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
