DTC P0133 - Front Ho2S Circuit Slow Response

  1. Install scan tool. Start engine and check if DTC P0133 is present. If DTC is present, go to next step. If DTC is not present, problem is intermittent. See INTERMITTENTS in TESTS W/O CODES article.
  2. Using scan tool, check lean/rich period. Scan tool display should read less than 2.6 seconds. If reading is as specified, go to next step. If reading is not as specified, replace front HO2S.
  3. Clear DTC. See CLEARING CODES under Self Diagnostic System section. Retest system. If DTC resets, replace ECM.
