A/C System Operation Check

  1. Start engine and turn on A/C. If A/C system does not come on, inspect fuses all A/C fuses. Replace faulty fuses as needed. See A/C FUSE IDENTIFICATION table.
    A/C FUSE IDENTIFICATION (1)

    Application Fuse Number
    Elantra (2)(3) 16 (10-amp)
    Elantra 16 (10-amp)
    (1) Under dash fuse/relay box.
    (2) Check A/C Fuse and/or A/C switch fuse (10-amp) in underhood fuse/relay box.
    (3) Check A/C fusible link (50-amp; Red) in underhood fuse/relay box.
  2. Recheck A/C system operation. If system is still inoperative, see appropriate A/C-HEATER SYSTEM article in the AIR CONDITIONING & HEAT section.
