Airflow Sensor Inspection (Turbo)

  1. Using DVOM, measure voltage output of AFS sensor. Ensure all harness connectors are connected. Voltage reading can be accessed at AFS connector terminal No. 4 (Green/Red wire) or ECM connector terminal No. 7 (Green/Red wire). Backprobe connector to measure voltage. Voltage measurements should be 2.0-2.6 volts at 800 RPM and 2.6-3.3 volts at 3000 RPM.
  2. Measure AFS clean burn output voltage. Backprobe connector to measure voltage. Voltage measurements should be 3-5 volts during clean burning state and 0-.5 volt during non-clean burning state. Replace AFS if measurements are not within specification.
