Fluid Level Check
- Place vehicle on level ground. Start engine. Allow engine to idle. Turn steering wheel lock-to-lock several times to bring steering fluid to normal operating temperature.
- Turn steering wheel lock-to-lock left and right several times while checking fluid for foaming or bubbling. Fluid level should be between MIN and MAX marks on dipstick attached to filler cap. Fill with Dexron-II to MAX mark.
- Fluid level should vary by .2" (5 mm) after engine is tuned off. Bleed system if fluid level varies beyond specification.
CAUTION:
DO NOT hold steering wheel at full lock left or right for more than 10 seconds.
