Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Isuzu i-370, 2008 Isuzu i-290, 2008 GMC Canyon, and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at the BCM.
  2. Ignition OFF and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5Ω between the ground circuit terminal B3 X1 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground.
    • Terminal A7 X1
    • Terminal B5 X1
    • Terminal B8 X1
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
