Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Tip: 

    It is not necessary to remove the supercharger to remove and/or replace the throttle body assembly.

  2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  3. Remove the hood assembly. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  4. Remove the front and rear sections of the supercharger inlet duct assembly. Refer to Supercharger Inlet Duct Assembly Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear inlet duct seal. Refer to Intake Air Duct Seal Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body assembly.
1 Throttle Body Assembly Bolts (Qty: 4)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Throttle Body Assembly
NOTE: Do not use a cleaner which contains methyl ethyl ketone. This extremely strong solvent may damage components and is not necessary for this type of cleaning.
Use a carburetor cleaner in order to remove deposits.
Refer to the instructions provided with the cleaner.
3 Throttle Body Gasket
Tip:  Always install a NEW throttle body gasket.
