Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear wiper motor (3) to the liftgate.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the wiper motor washers (2) and bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  3. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
  4. Connect the washer hose to the wiper motor.
  5. Install the wiper motor cover (4) to the motor.
  6. Lower the liftgate.

  7. Install the wiper shaft seal (4) and spacer (3).
  8. Install the wiper motor shaft nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  9. Install the wiper motor shaft cap (1).
  10. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
