Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Loosen the positive battery cable bolt (5) and remove the positive battery cable from the battery.

  4. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt and retainer.
  5. IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  6. Remove the battery.
