Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
- Disconnect the fuel return hose/pipe (1) from the fuel rail. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
- Disconnect the atmospheric vent hose (2) from the fuel pressure regulator (3).
- Clean any dirt from the fuel pressure regulator (3) and the surrounding area.
- Remove the fuel pressure regulator screws (4, 5).
- Pull the fuel pressure regulator (3) and O-ring seal (2) from the fuel rail (1).
Discard the O-ring seal (2).
- Pull the fuel rail return pipe (6) and O-ring seal (7) from the fuel pressure regulator (3).
Discard the O-ring seal (7).
- Inspect the regulator filter screen for contamination. If contaminated, replace the fuel pressure regulator.
