DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P1A62: General Description

Due to the malfunction of control between the transmission control module (TCM) and the powertrain control module (PCM), the requested values of extreme engine torque and extreme engine speed rise are output that may cause an unintended acceleration. The TCM performs the detection to secure safety before unintended acceleration occurs. If an extreme engine torque requested value is output from the TCM to the PCM when it is in torque cooperation controlled between the TCM and the PCM with low acceleration pedal position, or if an extreme engine speed rise requested value is output from the TCM to the PCM, the TCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
