DTC P0A11: Inspection

DC_STS Circuit Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • DC-DC converter connector A (3P): disconnected
  • PCM connector B (72P): disconnected

• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) DC-DC converter connector A (3P) female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) female terminals

	DC_STS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ω
	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	DC_STS shorted to power inspection	ON			Not shorted

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

DC-DC Converter Inspection 

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.

Test Procedure 

• Install a known-good DC-DC converter and attempt to reproduce the failure.

Results 

• If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
• If the symptom/DTC goes away, the DC-DC converter must be faulty.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
