DTC P0462: Inspection

FUEL_GAUGE+ Shorted Wire Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Fuel tank unit connector (4P): disconnected
  • Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

    Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.

			(Disconnected) Fuel tank unit connector (4P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	FUEL_GAUGE+ shorted to ground inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MΩ

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Gauge Control Module Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining gauge control module is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the gauge control module.
