Keyless Access System Registration (2017 2018 2019): Procedure

  1. Keyless Access System - Register

    NOTE: 

    • Check for aftermarket electrical equipment that could cause problems with keyless access operation.
    • While doing the registration, keep the remote away from computers.
    • Programming the remote also programs the keyless transmitter.
    • The keyless access/TPMS control unit can store codes up to 6 remotes.

    When Replacing the Keyless Access/TPMS Control Unit or the Electric Steering Lock Control Unit 

    1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC)

    2. Do the registration according to the "Immobilizer Setup Tool" screen.

    3. After registration, verify all remote related systems work normally with all remotes, then do the procedure after replacing keyless access systemo/TPMS control unit.

    When Replacing the PCM, MICU or Registration of the Remote(s) 

    NOTE:  If replacing the keyless access/TPMS control unit, register the keyless access/TPMS control unit first.

    1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC)

    2. When all remotes are lost, select the ON mode according to the instructions on the HDS screen, then go to step 4.

    3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    4. Select "Immobilizer Setup Tool".

    5. Select the appropriate items, and do the registration according to the instructions on the HDS screen.

    6. After registration, verify the systems work normally with all remotes. If the PCM is replaced, do the procedure after replacing PCM .
