Steering Gearbox Mount Cushion Replacement: Replacement

NOTE:

Do not allow dust, dirt, or other foreign materials to enter the steering gearbox.

  1. Steering Gearbox - Remove
  2. Steering Gearbox Mount Cushion - Remove

    1. Position a 41 mm socket (A) on the flange part of the gearbox housing with a washer (B), a 10 x 105 mm flange bolt (C), and a 10 mm nut (D) as shown.

    2. Hold the flange bolt with a wrench, and tighten the nut with a wrench.

    3. Remove the gearbox mount cushion (E).

  3. Steering Gearbox Mount Cushion - Install

    1. Apply a mild soap and water solution to the new gearbox mount cushion surface (A), then place the mount cushion on the gearbox mounting cushion hole.

    2. Position a 41 mm socket (B) on the flange part of the gearbox housing with a washer (C), a flange bolt (D), and a nut (E) as shown.

    3. Install the gearbox mount cushion by tightening the nut until the mount cushion edges (A) properly fits on the gearbox flange surfaces (B).
