Security indicator does not work properly
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- The system will not operate without the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
- Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
- Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, than wait for 3 minutes.
- Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
Does the security indicator (LED) on (blink)?
YES -Go to step 3.
NO -Substitute a known-good audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). ■
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Enter the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
Is the security indicator (LED) light out?
YES -The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at audio unit and audio panel. ■
NO -Substitute a known-good audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). ■
